Cassie Rowland is 22 years old. Born and raised in Oconee County, South Carolina, she graduated from West-Oak High School where she excelled in track and cross-country. She continued her running on a Cross-Country scholarship, first at Spartanburg Methodist Junior College and then at her present school, Lander University in Greenwood S.C. At Lander she is majoring in Exercise Science. After graduating from Lander she hopes to continue her studies at Life University, to become a chiropractor. Her interests include her family, friends, trips to the beach, running and working out. She is a very self-motivated type of person and has always set high standards for herself. One of her favorite quotes she likes to live by is “Only those who risk going too far, can possibly find out how far they can go” by T.S. Eliot. For her future and for this competition she has set high ambitions for herself and plans on doing whatever it takes to win!
